This Privacy Policy explains how Make My Wish (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use makemywish.in.

1. Information we collect

• Contact and delivery details — your name, mobile number, email address and delivery address, including any addresses you save to your profile.
• Order information — the items you order, gift notes, packaging choices, order value and payment reference.
• Account information — if you create an account, your email address and authentication details.
• Catalogue downloads — if you download our product catalogue, we collect the name and phone number you provide so we can follow up on your enquiry.
• Technical information — basic device, browser and usage data collected automatically to keep the site secure and working correctly.

2. How we use your information

• To process, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle order communication.
• To send order confirmations and delivery updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
• To provide customer support and resolve issues with an order.
• To prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the Site.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Verifying your number and auto-filling addresses

To make checkout faster, we offer a phone-number verification service provided by Shiprocket. If you choose to use it, you enter your mobile number and give explicit consent; Shiprocket then sends you a one-time password (OTP) and, once verified, shares your previously saved delivery addresses with us so we can pre-fill them for you.

• This is entirely optional — you can always type your address in manually.
• The OTP is never triggered until you tick the consent checkbox.
• Your use of this service is also governed by Shiprocket's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only to the extent needed:

• Shiprocket — buyer verification, saved-address retrieval and shipping or courier fulfilment.
• Courier and delivery partners — to deliver your order.
• Supabase — secure hosting of our store database and accounts.
• Cloudflare R2 — storage and delivery of product images.
• Resend — sending transactional order emails.
• Payment partners — to process and verify payments made by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. Payment details are handled by the payment provider; we do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking credentials.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart and wish basket, and understand basic site usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site (such as checkout) may then not work correctly.

6. Data retention

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Marketing and enquiry data is kept only while it remains relevant, or until you ask us to delete it.

7. Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you promotional messages. Write to contact@makemywish.in and we will respond within a reasonable period. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires it.

9. Children

The Site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
